Home/Refund, Cancellation & Subscription Policy
Refund, Cancellation & Subscription Policy
1. Purpose
This Refund, Cancellation & Subscription Policy ("Policy") explains the terms applicable to subscriptions, paid features, purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, payment failures, and related transactions for MoniPilot™("MoniPilot", "we", "us", or "our").
This Policy should be read together with the MoniPilot™ Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, EULA, and other applicable policies.
By purchasing, subscribing to, or using any paid feature or service offered by MoniPilot, you acknowledge and agree to this Policy, subject to any rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable law.
2. Subscription and Paid Services
MoniPilot may provide certain features, functionality, services, or benefits on a paid or subscription basis.
Paid offerings may include, depending on the plan and version of the application:
- Premium features;
- Advanced financial-management functionality;
- Backup and restore functionality;
- Additional storage or related services;
- AI-powered or intelligent features;
- Other premium functionality introduced by MoniPilot in the future.
The specific features included in each subscription plan will be presented to you at the time of purchase.
MoniPilot reserves the right to modify, add, remove, replace, or discontinue paid features, provided that such changes are handled in accordance with applicable law and the terms applicable to your subscription.
3. No-Refund Policy
3.1 General Rule
All purchases and subscription fees are non-refundable.
Once a subscription, paid feature, or other paid service has been purchased, MoniPilot does not provide refunds, credits, replacements, or prorated refunds for any unused or partially used subscription period or paid functionality.
This applies regardless of whether the service or feature has been:
- Used extensively;
- Used partially;
- Used only once;
- Not used after purchase;
- Used incorrectly;
- Forgotten or abandoned;
- No longer required;
- No longer considered useful;
- Purchased accidentally;
- Purchased for the wrong account;
- Purchased on the wrong device;
- Purchased before changing devices;
- Purchased before deleting the application;
- Purchased before deleting an account;
- Cancelled before the end of the billing period; or
- Otherwise not used for the remainder of the subscription period.
3.2 No Prorated Refunds
Cancelling a subscription does not result in a refund for the unused portion of the current billing period.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or the relevant payment platform's mandatory rules, cancellation only prevents the subscription from renewing for a subsequent billing period.
3.3 No Credits or Substitutions
MoniPilot does not ordinarily provide:
- Account credits;
- Subscription extensions;
- Replacement subscriptions;
- Feature credits;
- Partial refunds;
- Prorated refunds; or
- Other monetary compensation
in place of a refund.
4. Statutory and Non-Waivable Rights
Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, limit, or waive any consumer, refund, cancellation, warranty, or other statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or waived under applicable law.
Where applicable law requires MoniPilot or a payment provider to provide a refund, cancellation right, remedy, replacement, or other consumer protection, that mandatory requirement will prevail over the relevant provision of this Policy.
Except where required by applicable law, however, MoniPilot's general policy is that purchases and subscription fees are non-refundable.
5. Apple App Store Purchases
If you purchase a MoniPilot subscription or paid functionality through the Apple App Store, the transaction is processed by Apple and is subject to Apple's applicable terms, policies, and procedures.
MoniPilot does not independently control Apple's payment processing or Apple's refund decision.
5.1 Refund Requests
Where Apple is the billing provider, any refund request should be submitted through Apple's applicable refund process.
Apple may independently determine whether a refund is available under its policies or applicable law.
5.2 MoniPilot's Position
Unless required by applicable law or otherwise determined by Apple, MoniPilot does not independently provide refunds for purchases made through Apple's billing system.
6. Google Play Purchases
If you purchase a MoniPilot subscription or paid functionality through Google Play, the transaction is processed through Google Play and is subject to Google's applicable terms, policies, and procedures.
6.1 Refund Requests
Where Google Play is the billing provider, any refund request should be submitted through Google's applicable refund process.
Google may independently determine whether a refund is available under its policies or applicable law.
6.2 MoniPilot's Position
Unless required by applicable law or otherwise determined by Google, MoniPilot does not independently provide refunds for purchases made through Google Play's billing system.
7. Website and Direct Payments
MoniPilot may offer subscriptions or paid services through its website or other direct payment channels.
Where a payment is made directly to MoniPilot through an authorized payment processor, including BillDesk or another payment provider designated by MoniPilot:
- The purchase is considered a direct transaction with MoniPilot;
- All subscription and paid-service charges are non-refundable;
- No prorated refund will ordinarily be provided;
- Cancelling a subscription does not create a refund entitlement for the remaining period; and
- Refunds will only be issued where required by applicable law or where MoniPilot expressly determines otherwise in writing.
8. Subscription Renewal
Depending on the subscription plan and payment platform, subscriptions may automatically renew at the end of each billing period.
Before purchasing a subscription, you are responsible for reviewing:
- Subscription price;
- Billing frequency;
- Renewal terms;
- Applicable taxes;
- Trial terms, if any;
- Cancellation terms; and
- Payment-provider requirements.
By purchasing an auto-renewing subscription, you authorize the applicable payment provider to charge the applicable renewal amount in accordance with the subscription terms presented at the time of purchase.
9. Cancellation
You may cancel an applicable recurring subscription before the next renewal date through the payment platform or account mechanism through which you purchased the subscription.
Cancellation generally means:
- Future automatic renewals will be stopped;
- You may continue to access paid functionality until the end of the already-paid subscription period, where applicable; and
- No refund will ordinarily be issued for the remaining portion of that subscription period.
Deleting the MoniPilot application from your device does not necessarily cancel your subscription.
Similarly, deleting your MoniPilot account does not necessarily cancel a subscription purchased through Apple, Google Play, or another external payment provider.
You are responsible for cancelling the subscription through the appropriate billing provider.
10. Free Trials and Promotional Offers
MoniPilot may occasionally offer:
- Free trials;
- Discounted subscriptions;
- Promotional pricing;
- Introductory offers;
- Limited-time offers; or
- Other promotional benefits.
Where a free trial or promotional offer is provided, the applicable terms will be disclosed at the time of enrollment.
Unless otherwise stated:
- A free trial may automatically convert into a paid subscription at the end of the trial period;
- You are responsible for cancelling before the applicable conversion date if you do not wish to continue;
- Promotional pricing may apply only for the specified promotional period; and
- Promotional purchases remain subject to this Policy.
Where a payment is made following a free trial or promotional period, the resulting subscription is subject to the applicable no-refund policy, except where a refund or cancellation right is legally mandatory.
11. Accidental Purchases
MoniPilot does not ordinarily provide refunds for purchases claimed to have been made accidentally.
You are responsible for reviewing the purchase details before confirming a transaction.
If a purchase was made through Apple or Google Play, any request relating to an accidental purchase should be directed to the applicable platform, which may independently determine whether a refund is available.
12. Payment Failures
If a payment fails, is declined, reversed, rejected, or otherwise cannot be processed, MoniPilot may:
- Suspend premium functionality;
- Restrict access to paid features;
- Retry the payment through the applicable payment provider;
- Cancel the affected subscription;
- Require you to update your payment information; or
- Take other reasonable actions permitted by the applicable subscription terms.
A failed payment does not create an entitlement to continued premium functionality.
13. Price Changes
MoniPilot may change subscription prices from time to time.
Where required, applicable notice will be provided before a price change takes effect.
Price changes may result from:
- Changes in operating costs;
- Taxes;
- Payment-processing costs;
- Infrastructure costs;
- New features;
- Changes to subscription plans;
- Market conditions;
- Regulatory requirements; or
- Other business considerations.
Your continued subscription after the effective date of a properly notified price change may constitute acceptance of the revised pricing, subject to applicable law and the rules of the applicable payment platform.
14. Taxes and Payment Processing
Subscription prices may be subject to applicable taxes, duties, levies, or other governmental charges.
Depending on the payment method and jurisdiction, such amounts may be:
- Included in the displayed price;
- Added at checkout; or
- Collected by the applicable payment provider.
Payment providers may independently impose their own transaction, currency conversion, or other charges.
MoniPilot is not responsible for fees imposed by your bank, card issuer, payment provider, or financial institution unless required by applicable law.
15. Account Deletion and Subscriptions
Deleting your MoniPilot account does not automatically guarantee cancellation of subscriptions purchased through third-party billing platforms.
You must separately cancel subscriptions through the platform through which the subscription was purchased.
Similarly:
Uninstalling MoniPilot does not automatically cancel your subscription.
You remain responsible for managing your active subscriptions.
16. Changes to Premium Features
MoniPilot is continuously developing its products and services.
Premium features may change over time.
MoniPilot may:
- Improve existing functionality;
- Modify features;
- Replace features;
- Introduce new functionality;
- Remove obsolete functionality;
- Change technical implementation; or
- Discontinue particular features.
Where legally required, material changes affecting an existing paid subscription will be handled in accordance with applicable law and applicable platform requirements.
Nothing in this section creates an obligation for MoniPilot to maintain any particular feature indefinitely unless expressly agreed otherwise.
17. Subscription Access and Service Availability
Payment for a subscription does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to MoniPilot.
Access may occasionally be affected by:
- Device problems;
- Operating-system changes;
- Internet connectivity;
- Third-party services;
- App Store or Google Play availability;
- Maintenance;
- Security measures;
- Technical failures;
- Force majeure events; or
- Other circumstances beyond MoniPilot's reasonable control.
Temporary inability to access a service does not automatically create a refund entitlement, except where such a right is required by applicable law.
18. Data Loss Does Not Create a Refund Entitlement
Because MoniPilot follows a local-first architecture, financial records may primarily be stored on the user's device rather than routinely on MoniPilot-operated servers.
Users are responsible for maintaining appropriate device security and, where available, using applicable backup functionality.
Loss of:
- A device;
- Locally stored data;
- Application data;
- A backup;
- Google Drive data;
- Account information; or
- Other user-controlled information
does not ordinarily create a refund entitlement.
This provision is subject to any mandatory rights available under applicable law.
19. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
You agree to contact MoniPilot or the applicable payment provider where appropriate before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback for a transaction you authorized.
Unauthorized, fraudulent, or disputed transactions may be investigated by the relevant payment provider.
Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising any rights available under applicable law or payment-network rules.
MoniPilot reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts associated with fraudulent transactions, abusive chargebacks, payment manipulation, or other misuse, subject to applicable law.
20. Fraudulent or Abusive Refund Claims
MoniPilot may investigate suspected:
- Fraudulent refund claims;
- Payment manipulation;
- Repeated abusive chargebacks;
- Subscription abuse;
- Promotional abuse;
- Identity misrepresentation; or
- Other fraudulent activity.
Where permitted by law, MoniPilot may suspend or terminate access to affected services or accounts where reasonable grounds exist to believe that fraudulent or abusive activity has occurred.
21. Third-Party Payment Providers
Payments may be processed by third-party providers such as:
- Apple;
- Google;
- BillDesk; or
- Other payment providers selected by MoniPilot.
Third-party payment providers may have their own:
- Terms;
- Privacy policies;
- Billing rules;
- Refund procedures;
- Dispute-resolution procedures;
- Currency conversion rules; and
- Consumer-protection requirements.
You acknowledge that MoniPilot does not control the independent policies or decisions of third-party payment providers.
22. Currency and International Transactions
Where MoniPilot is made available outside India, subscription prices may be displayed in the local currency or another currency determined by the applicable payment platform.
Currency conversion may be performed by:
- Apple;
- Google;
- Banks;
- Card networks;
- Payment processors; or
- Other financial institutions.
Exchange rates and related charges may vary.
MoniPilot is not responsible for exchange-rate differences or third-party conversion charges unless required by applicable law.
23. No Refund for Non-Use
Failure to use MoniPilot after purchasing a subscription does not create a refund entitlement.
Examples include situations where:
- You change your mind;
- You stop using the application;
- You forget to use the application;
- You purchase another application;
- You no longer need the service;
- You change devices;
- You travel;
- You experience temporary internet problems;
- You fail to configure the application; or
- You simply choose not to use the premium features.
The subscription remains subject to its original billing period and cancellation terms.
24. Restoration of Purchases
Where supported by Apple, Google Play, or another applicable platform, users may be able to restore previously purchased subscriptions or premium entitlements.
Restoration:
- Does not create a new refund;
- Does not extend the original subscription period unless expressly provided;
- Does not convert a non-refundable purchase into a refundable purchase; and
- Remains subject to the applicable platform's rules.
25. Account Suspension or Termination
If your account is suspended or terminated because of:
- Violation of the Terms of Service;
- Fraud;
- Abuse;
- Unauthorized use;
- Security violations;
- Illegal activity; or
- Other prohibited conduct,
you will not ordinarily be entitled to a refund of previously paid subscription fees.
This provision does not apply to the extent that applicable law requires otherwise.
26. Exceptions Required by Law
Despite the no-refund policy, MoniPilot will comply with legally mandatory requirements relating to:
- Consumer protection;
- Refunds;
- Cancellations;
- Defective digital services;
- Digital-content rights;
- Unauthorized transactions;
- Payment regulations;
- Statutory warranties;
- Applicable privacy or data-protection laws; and
- Other mandatory legal remedies.
Where a mandatory legal right applies, that right will take precedence over this Policy.
27. Changes to This Policy
MoniPilot may update this Policy from time to time.
Non-material changes may become effective when the updated Policy is published.
Where a change is material and applicable law requires advance notice, consent, or another procedure, MoniPilot will provide such notice, obtain such consent, or follow such procedure as required.
The updated version will identify the relevant effective or last-updated date.
28. Relationship With Other Policies
This Policy forms part of the MoniPilot legal framework and should be read together with:
- Terms of Service
- Privacy Policy
- End User License Agreement (EULA)
- AI Usage & Disclaimer Policy
- Local Data Storage & Backup Policy
- Cookie & Mobile Technologies Policy
- Data Retention & Deletion Policy
- Security & Encryption Policy
In the event of a conflict between this Policy and a mandatory requirement of Apple, Google, applicable law, or another applicable payment platform, the mandatory requirement will prevail to the extent required.
29. Governing Law
This Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, subject to applicable mandatory consumer-protection and other statutory rights.
Subject to applicable law, courts located in Noida, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to this Policy.
Nothing in this provision is intended to prevent a consumer from exercising a mandatory legal right to bring proceedings before another competent forum where such right cannot legally be excluded.
