Privacy Policy

Privacy is a core design principle of MoniPilot.

Our objective is to minimize the amount of personal financial information processed through our own infrastructure while still providing a reliable and secure user experience.

Accordingly, MoniPilot has been developed using the following principles:

• Financial information belongs to the user.
• Financial information remains on the user's own device by default.
• MoniPilot collects only the information reasonably necessary to operate the Services.
• Users decide whether to enable optional backup features.
• Transparency guides our data processing practices.
• Privacy and security are considered throughout the design and operation of the Services.
• We strive to minimize the collection and retention of personal information wherever reasonably practicable.

As of the Effective Date of this Privacy Policy, MoniPilot operates using the following architecture.

3.1 Local Financial Data

By default, MoniPilot stores financial information locally on the user's device.

Examples include:

• Expenses
• Income
• Budgets
• Categories
• Financial notes
• Subscription records
• Warranty information
• Money lent records
• Money borrowed records
• Spending history
• Reports
• Analytics generated from local data
• Other financial records created by the user

This information is not routinely transmitted to or stored on MoniPilot-operated servers.

3.2 Backend Services

MoniPilot currently operates backend services primarily for:

• User registration
• User authentication
• Login management
• Password recovery
• Account security
• Premium subscription verification
• Customer support
• Fraud prevention
• Service administration
• Operational logging where reasonably necessary

These backend services currently use a Laravel application with a MySQL database.

The specific technologies used by MoniPilot may change over time without affecting the principles described in this Privacy Policy.

3.3 Optional Google Drive Backup

Paid subscribers may choose to enable an optional Google Drive Backup & Restore feature.

When enabled by the user:

• Financial backup files are stored within the user's own Google Drive account.
• Backup creation is initiated by the user through the Services.
• Restoration is initiated by the user.
• Backup files remain under the user's control through their Google account.
• MoniPilot does not claim ownership of backup files stored in the user's Google Drive account.

Google Drive is operated independently by Google LLC and is governed by Google's own legal terms and privacy practices.

3.4 Advertisements

The free version of MoniPilot may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob or other advertising providers.

Advertising providers may collect certain information independently in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Additional information is provided later in this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to:

• MoniPilot mobile applications.
• MoniPilot websites.
• Customer support.
• Authentication services.
• Premium subscription management.
• Optional Google Drive backup functionality.
• AI-powered features (where available).
• Future versions of the Services unless replaced by a separate privacy notice.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to independent third-party services such as Google Drive, Google AdMob, Google Play, Apple App Store, payment processors, or other external platforms, each of which operates under its own privacy policies.

By downloading, installing, registering for, accessing, or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you must discontinue use of the Services.

Your continued use of the Services following the effective date of any updated Privacy Policy constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.

For purposes of this Privacy Policy:

Account

The registered user account used to access MoniPilot.

Personal Data

Any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual as defined under applicable law.

Financial Data

Financial information voluntarily entered into MoniPilot by the user, including expenses, income, budgets, financial notes, categories, recurring transactions, subscription records, warranty information, lending and borrowing records, and similar information.

Unless otherwise stated, Financial Data is stored locally on the user's device.

Local Data

Information stored directly on the user's device using the application's local database and storage mechanisms rather than on MoniPilot-operated servers.

Google Drive Backup

An optional feature available to eligible users that allows backup and restoration of locally stored Financial Data using the user's own Google Drive account.

Backend Services

Services operated by or on behalf of MoniPilot for authentication, subscription management, account administration, security, and related operational functions.

AI Services

Any artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, automation, recommendation, categorization, or similar technologies made available within the Services.

Services

The MoniPilot mobile application, related websites, backend services, APIs, customer support, AI features, premium services, and any related products or services provided under the MoniPilot brand.

MoniPilot is an actively evolving software platform.

References in this Privacy Policy to current technologies, storage methods, infrastructure, integrations, or features describe the Services as they exist on the Effective Date of this Privacy Policy.

Future versions of the Services may introduce additional functionality, including but not limited to:

• Cloud synchronization;
• Cross-device synchronization;
• Document storage;
• Shared workspaces;
• Additional AI capabilities;
• New backup options;
• New integrations; or
• Other technologies.

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect such changes.

Where required by applicable law, MoniPilot will provide appropriate notice or obtain any necessary consent before implementing material changes affecting the processing of Personal Data.

For changes that are not material, MoniPilot reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy without providing individual notice, and such updates shall become effective upon publication within the Services or on the MoniPilot website.
